Video Card HELP! ASAP!!

Hey i'm going to walmart to pick up a video card because my stupid intel onboard video is garbage.  The screen goes black with ff7 as soon as cloud jumps out the train.  I've tried the 1.02 patch to no avail.  Will any video card with ati or nvidia technology work?? i'll be lookin for something in the $50 range with a pci interface.

With forceware installed, a Geforce 4 MX 4000 works perfectly on FF7 1.02 with Direct 3D enabled, antialiasing works well too, but it's fastest on 2 x 2

Just got me a geforce 5500 fx with 256mb ddr.  All i gotta do now is configure ff7 and im in the game!

You mean... "maybe" you're in the game.

Honestly...I think you would have been better off spending 150 dollars on a PStwo or 50 on a PSone and 20 bucks for the game, but that's only my opinion.

honestly it's working great.  so far only 1 crash and im up to the pillar battle on disc 1.  I'm running the 1.02 patch, hi-res cloud patch, the reunion and chocobo patch.... knocks on wood.

I'm more interested what's going to happen when you get to the observatory. With luck... it's not going to crash on you.
