Try different drivers =P  Guru3d.com has bunches of them )

Also, make sure in ff7config, you try riva, and if that wont work, then TNT.

And oh yeah, we hate around here when people yell and act like 12 year olds.  Please show some decorum.

Calm down, dude =)

Ok, make sure they're higher version drivers than what you're using now.

And you should uninstall old drivers before proceeding.  To do this, right click you "My computer" icon, go to properties.  Click the HARDWARE tab.  hit "Device manager"  Look for the "Display adapters" icon.  Click the
  • .  Find your video card, right click it, and select "uninstal".  Restart windows.

When windows comes back on, it will try to reinstall your old drivers.  Hit cancel to any "new hardware" propts.

Then, find your new driver set (the 71.48 set works fro the 6600gt and FF7 very well, try that), and double-click it (Should be a blue icon).  Follow the prompts and you'll be all set =)

edit: Btw, you dont have to post this topic in like 2 or 3 different places.

I need help installing an older driver.  Windows just stays intent on keeping the newer one (forceware 71.84).  Can someone give me a step by step guide on how to install old drivers?? thanks in advance.

go to your control panel, open "add or remove programs",find nvidia display driver and uninstall it.reboot (make sure to disconnect from internet before you do,if you dont, some trash driver may load from ms update),run the old driver executable, follow the instructions.reboot, and you are there..

All of them =P

try them one at a time, starting from 53.03, and go up.

Yeah, waste of time, but different systems need differnt drivers to play the same effin game.  It's just how it is, sorry.
