Already we have a patch that switch midis to mp3(FF8DLS).

It doesn't use MP3s, it just uses a better instrument set and SGT (MIDI) files.

(It still sounds really, really nice.)

just wondering, the orchestral tracks are great, but the normal tracks (using the same DLS) suck hard.
Is there a way to combine hi quality standard tracks and orchestral selected tracks?
Since size is no issue these days when downloading is concerned?

Yeah, if you can add more instruments and have some songs use "orchestral" ones and some songs use "high quality" ones, I just don't know how to do it myself.  :-P

(You'd need another DLS and set of SGTs, no way to mix and match between ones we already have AFAIK.)

yep this is something annoying, as its not as easy as swapping out midis in a LGP and using a new Soundfont like in FF7
you need to make new SGTS and a DSL/SF2
