Author Topic: I can't seem to encounter Yuffie (Read 10305 times)

I've spent the last 2 hours running around the 3 forest areas near Fort Condor trying to get Yuffie to appear. However, she hasn't appeared even once yet. I have a version 1.00 game, with the Chocobo patch and Sephiroth replaces Cloud patch applied. I'm running Windows XP Home. I'm pretty sure it's a glitch of some sort, because it never took me more than a half hour to find her in the PS version.

I'm willing to simply use Jenova to add her too my party, but I want to know if that will make it like I had fought and recruited her normally. Like, she'll still be eligible for the date and such, still show up on the Shinra boat, that sort of stuff. Thanks for any help.

The chance of encountering yuffie should be around 1/15 chance. Have u trried saving n reloading again? Maybe there's a bug. Try replacing back Sephiroth with cloud n see what happens.

So I have to complete a battle at Fort Condor. Now that you mention it, that is the only thing I did differently. I've never gone to FC before the Giant Materia stuff starts. Thanks a lot, I was a bit scared that I would have to restart.

Could also try finding her in the forests around the busted reactor, before Cosmo Canyon. That's where I always get her passing through the first time.

yea i just got past doing the first fort condor mission myself and decided to take a pit stop to find yuffie. it took me a while to find her myself. I leveled up my party members at the time like 6 levels and kept using the choco/mog materia with barret and got all his limits but catastrophe before yuffie decided to pop around.

just get her before you get to rocket town. in the wooded areas right after mt. nibel. she will be at a high level (37 when i got her) and when you go to wutai, it will be easy for her to defeat the 5 story pagoda mofos. just make sure she has regain, haste, and ice 3 before hand.
