help with gondola scene, ati radeon 9800SE
« on: 2005-09-25 23:33:34 »
i have been playing around with different patches for a couple of days now, followed the "great ff7 faq", and still have not had any luck.  the gondola scene goes through 2 movies, and then after aeris talks about how much cloud reminds her of zack, they just sit there....forever.  i'm guessing a movie is supposed to be played then.  i originally had trouble with cosmo canyon and was finally able to get past that part with gyptNEW, but now i'm stuck again and NOTHING seems to be working :weep: .  i currently have ff7 ultima editin installed, patch 1.02, tried in 3d, nvidia, tnt mode in 320 size.  i have movies copied to my HD and have played all of them through windows media player and they all run OK.  please help!!

windows xp sp2
p4 2.4 (HT)
1024 ram
ATI Radeon 9800 SE  (recent driver)

Welcome to board.

You probably know this link already, since it's the only place you can download gypt. Make sure, that you're activating this thing in right place (read/see screens for info).

If it still doesn't work, you can send me your save-game (see profile for e-mail). I'll watch it for you...

Please, reply here if you have some free time.

i tried running the program in different areas, even before loading the ff7.exe, and i never got the "ctrl+shift+f11" message or even a tone that i was supposed to be listening to.  i switched my sound to microsoft wave and yamaha driver in the ff7config.  i currently have a soundblaster audigy.  it would be great if you could play through my saved game and send it back to me, but would i have any more problems in the game.  (would really like a permanent fix, but anything would do right now  )
