Ah, but I see you've ALREADY used their work and posted it on a popular torrent site along with a no-cd crack.

I dont know if creator of FF7 Multi Patch 1.1.1 - Cyrus XIII ask to using thier work...
NOCD patch is for legal use - creating backup DVD, as in thread in this forum.
hmm...., any modyfication to game exe is illegal anyway

No, what you did is illegal. By using the NoCD CRACK (it is NOT a patch) you are cracking the code of the exe that checks for the cd. Everything that SaiNt and Reunion and Borde and all the others do is just a MOD to better gameplay.

IMHO, ANY modification in game code (exe) in ILLEGAL (read license), even a mod.
NOCD crack is made in same way as mod that affect exe (deasembling exe, reverse engenering).
If user buy orginal game, may do one backup (read license), like DVD backup: http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=4091
I only made setup program for that.

If you not like/need NOCD not use it, or whole patch.
If you want this patch without NOCD - no problem, this is 5 minutes work.

If admins don't want this in this forum - delete topic and forget.

Why is there a crack for FF7 anyway?  You don't even need one to run the game without the cd.  No edited exe, no edited code, just a couple of changes which takes about 60 seconds once installed.  Did it with my original FF7 and now I'm doing it with my re-release FF7 edition (was stupid enough to get rid of my older version).

I don't think No-CD cracks are/should be illegal, but it's strange how if you type in on google for a NO-CD patch, you'll always get crack sites. Oh and by the way, you can't delete a file if it's already been shared by torrent networks, if you know what I mean.

...and by the way, you know the reunion patch, do you really have to do the change and back-up to the char.lpg file before installing it, and if so, cant you make the installation do that anyway?

Yes, few people have, but I delete it from sites (and if noone repost it, then it slowly die),  and in version 1.0 and 1.1 is ustable because of my little error in patching files... -_-

I patched char.lgp with Reunion patch (recreate it in LGPTools) then use xdelta to produce patch (difference - orginal to patched file).

xdelta is very nice free small tool:
http://evanjones.ca/software/xdelta-win32.html

I recompile it and do some cosmetic changes.

First of all, i would like to say great job to the author of this mega patch (as well to creators of these mods) definately saves hassel installing these mods the manuel way.  as for No-CD, there meant to save time so you dont have to waste time inserting discs and waiting for the discs to load, also so can keep your original disc in a new condition by not using it.  It's ok use the No-CD if "YOU OWN THE ORIGINAL GAME", but if you have a Copied version (meaning you don't own the original), then its illegal to use a no-cd or backup cd executible.

I encountered a mini bug, with the following installed:
1. Higher Resolution
2. The Ruinion
3. Hi-quality Cloud
4. PSXMusic Patch (and FF7Music patch)
5. Windows 2000/XP Crash fix

When i go to nibelheim mansion, when you go to safe to unlock vincent: the time limit window shows, but the safe combination window doesn't show the numbers.

has anyone encountered this, does anyone know which of the patches causes this issue?

I believe those bugs were corrected in the latest release of TheSaiNt's HiRes patch.

Yeah your right, cuz i didnt experience these bugs with v0.99 of the HiRes patch.  Maybe the mega patch uses an older version of the hires patch or maybe these issues occur when having most patches activated at the same time.

Just tried several combinations of installing patches, still windows doesnt show numbers in safe and slot spinning shows nothing. According to the Megapatch readme, it says it uses the latest 0.99 of the hires patch.

Can't seem to figure out whats causing these mini bug.
