Slots crash

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that this has to do with the Hi-Res patch, but I also read it had to do with an old version. I'm using the latest Hi-Res patch with ff7music and a scene.bin modification.

[Edit] Ok, 1.02 doesn't crash on slots. A fresh 1.02 patched with just the 1280x960 patch doesn't crash. Hmm.. and patched with the 1280x1024 patch doesn't cause the crash..

Turns out it's the Mini Games patch causing it to crash.. though I'm not sure why.

Would it be a dumb question if I ask: what is "slot crash"? Can you say what are you doing before the crash occurs? I assume that you use an english version, right?

AFAIK (I could be wrong :P) MGP modifies the code which is accessible only when starting/playing MiniGames (snowboard&highway).

By 'slots crash' (sorry I didn't specify earlier) I mean it crashes when I try to use Cait Sith's limit break: Slots.  And that's why I'm completely not sure why it's crashing with it on.. because like I said earlier, everything works up until I install the MGP, then the Slots limit starts to crash the game. :/       Yes, I'm on the English Version, also.

Checked and confirmed... It's my fault of course :P. MGP "thinks" that a big block full of zeros is excelent for his evil plan... Well... this time it isn't. It will be corrected when I get an access to a PC with source-code of MGP.

Thanks for the report.

Considering how he can kill Emerald/Ruby with one attack (I think so.. the one with 3 parts of Cait Sith's face on the Slots.), I wouldn't say he sucks too much..

Cait Siths \"Slot\" limit break can win any battle in one fell swoop IF you get lucky. There is an equal chance that your entire party could die instantly, or one of these other effects occur:

# 3 Stars - Mog Dance - This restores the party\\\'s HP, MP, and all negative status conditions.
# 3 Kings - Toy Soldier - Toy soldiers shoot at the enemies for a good hit of damage.
# 3 Bars - Summon - A random summon spell in which you have already used before.
# 3 Mogs - transform - Cait transforms himself into one person with the team-mates inside him with a combined effect of all 3 characters, but HP and MP do not go past 9999 and 999.
# 3 Hearts - Lucky Girl - Party\\\'s Hit% is 100.
# 2 Cait Sith and 1 Bar - This kills your party to end the game, but this doesn\\\'t happen often.
# 3 Cait Siths - You win the battle automatically.
