Why can't I get past this bloody button thing!

Had this problem when I played it on the PS all those years ago i'm sure, now i'm on the pc and it's come back to haunt me again.  I know that the 3 buttons have to be pushed together but how do you get to that bit?  Shouldn't Barratt and Tifa pop out to go "lets push these together super Cloud"?  Where do I go to do this i've been everywhere!

Anyhelp appreciated, first post.  Great FF forum here, helped me get it working at long last on the pc.

yip so i've worked it out, i was way ahead of myself and that's where i go when i'm trying to escape and not when i'm on my way in!  doh!

I'm sure i'll be back many a time as I finally try to complete this.  When I first had it in 97-98 I was just too weak to beat sephiroth and didn't know about any of this golden chocobo malarky!

And could you please post images in JPEG form next time... PNGs take ages to load on my 56k connection  
Anyway, I just always press it as soon as I see a little movement in the other's arms. They allow you to be a little bit off, as long as the beeps go together.

Nighthawk: that's not depending on the file format, but on the set compression. JPG could be of the same size, and that PNG can be 10x smaller, depends on compression you set.

That wasn't actually what I was stuck on.  I'd taken a wrong turn and gone to the button bit before placing the bomb.  I realised this after putting the photo up because I then went back and accidentally went the right way if you know what I mean
