Done Everything and it's gone wrong ;S

I installed a patch yesterday which messed up my FF7Music.  I uninstalled FF7PC and reinstalled it clean and now FF7Music will not work at all regardless of how I did it yesterday with it working. Any idea's?

Entering MAIN

Exiting MAIN

-=-=[START OF WORLD MAP!!!]=-=-

stop_sound

MIDI set volume: 127

0% of 127 = 0

cross play music: 0

set music volume trans: 127->0, step=4

MIDI cross fade: 13, time: 4

MIDI set volume trans: 15->127; step=4

MIDI set volume: 127

0% of 127 = 0

MIDI play: 13

reading midi file: TA.mid

TA.mid

Midi file matched! TA
CSA6
CSR7
File counterpart ta.mp3
Resolved to ta.mp3
current volume: 127

MIDI is playing SUCCESSFULLY!!!

set music volume: 127

it says the file is playing, recognised etc, my volume is up max for mp3 including the wave but it's just not playing

Just so I don't misunderstand, did you mute the MIDI in your sound devices?

everything is done as it should do and there is no option in volume control to mute on here.  You can only mute with Ficedula or when you are in the game you put the Music to 0.  Which allows FF7Music to play its music.

I did everything as I said it in my Idiots guide to FF7Music. It worked perfectly til I went and put a patch on yesterday which interfered with it so I did a clean install of FF7PC and all the settings are as it should be and it just doesn't play. Regardless of the fact it says it is.

I didn't say to go to volume control.  Use your sound card's utility to mute the midi output.

What patch did you install anyway?  Maybe that could lead us to an answer.

I don't have any MIDI options in my sound control or the utility for my soundcard.  The only program for my soundcard is Realtek HD Audio Manager.

The patch I downloaded was the Hi Res patch.  And it messed up the sound, it kept stopping then repeating every 2 seconds and jumping/missing bits out.  Which didn't happen before the patch. So I uninstalled FF altogether and gave it a clean install. Did what I said in my tutorial and it just wont play now.

The only way I can mute the midi files are in FF7 itself.

EDIT: Got it working now.  Took alot but heh :S
