well...id be happy to help ya, but you havent given me anything......if you would tell me some more specifics...is it the PC version, are you on an emulator?...on a console?....after you answer things like that...lets move on to these:

1.  tell me where it crashes

2.  upload your last save state to a file hoster like:

http://www.rapidshare.de
http://www.megaupload.com
http://www.files.to

3.  ...wait for me to get finished with the save...

...with this i may be able to help you...but telling me you have a crash some time in a game.......doesnt help anybody...

Yeah. That’s very kind of Flatline but you really should post more info.

Examples: Is the game crashing randomly or (roughly) during a particular part? Is it freezing, crashing to the desktop, or rebooting your computer? What video card do you use?

His computer is rebooting.
The game crashes just randomly, after more than an hour playing.

There's only so much that can be done with such little information. :|

"Randomly" implies a driver issue but nothing more specific. That leads me to suspect the video card, which he didn't provide. Also, "crashing down after some time" doesn’t' necessarily mean "random". Perhaps it’s crashing during the Fort Condor battle? Who knows! Only matzi.

He just said to me:
"The game crashes randomly after some time of playing."
I think its not everytime the same position in the game, but he didnt tell me specific.

Does it crash while you're already walking on the world map, when you try to enter a city, when you first enter the world map, when you try to enter a vehicle, when you enter a battle, or what? Whatever it is, a reinstall might help.

If that doesn't help, perhaps your CD is scratched.

I installed FFVII and installed the 1.02 patch along with ff7music, and the sprite replacement thing (NPC somthing).. anyway the game has been repeatedly been crashing and I get one of those error things where it says "Report / Don't Report" to Microsoft, anyhow, im really early on in the game, I saved just before i went with cloud, aeris, and tifa to confront that Don guy (at the whore house)  and I got past that and was making my way through the sewers, killed some giant dude, and then it crashed, I think the crashes most frequently occur when its changing screens (like going into the next room), and if I reload the game I wont necessarily crash at the same point, but I played for at least 30 min before the last save point... is there ANY way to make save states for the pc version of ffvii because then i can keep making save states and not have to worry about these crashes... any help would be appreciated.

Save Crystals don't work everywhere; they only work in the northern crater.
You could try FF7w, its cheat function has a "save anywhere" function....\

rebooting randomly can be a CPU overheating issue

is your CPU overclocked? do you have good ventilation in your system ?

They are just FFVII crashes, not the whole system (wow that would really suck if it was my whole computer). But I installed FF7w and the save anywhere feature I dont really care much about the crashes since i can just save before I change screens so that I can reload to right before where the crash occurs. Thanks for the pointer Vehek!
