FF8 Software Rendering Screen Flickering

Hey,
  I share the same problem with 8 bit textures as many others, I have the black boxes all over. So I run the Software renderer...it runs good speed and everything all except my screen flickers from black and back to the game every once in a while. Am I damaging something? or is this normal?

Argh. Why keep bothering Zero?

It's not as if it's going to change anything. People simply do not get the difference in the subforums. Why? I'm not even going to bother explaining. Those of you that catch my drift know what I mean. And no, it's not because the difference isn't clear or they are too much alike, silly.
