Installation Freeze

Hi, I'm trying to do a Maximum install of Final Fantasy VII on my Windows Xp machine and on the first of four CDs the installation freezes at 23%. Anyone know how to fix this and let me install Final Fantasy 7 without any problems or anyone have an idea what the cause of this might be or is there a way to do this install manually?

BTW, standard install also freezes at 65% !

sounds like your install disc is bad/scratched
try cleaning it

Make an ISO of your disc using magic ISO.
Trust me it works, I've had the same problem and this fixed it.

Download a program called magic ISO and use it to make an iso
USe the help file (if there is one)
