Skewed Comparison of DS and PSP!
« on: 2006-09-05 00:35:32 »
First, there was a video at PSP Fanboy.
Then, DS Fanboy shows the same video along with a challenge to make a rebuttal.
Then I came along and accepted the challenge.

Questions? Comments? Concerns?

edit: I've YouTube'd it to save bandwidth on my own site. Free hosts don't exactly give incredible amounts of bandwidth. :)

edit: A little clarification in the second sentence never hurts!

" "The DS is better!" That makes me laught loud, the DS is so childish, a Nintendo DS is made for kids, and so it looks like a toy, and you turn the positive things on the PSP into negative, your another poor DS Fanboy, pitiful. "

"you say psp has kiddy games and ds has mature. your stupid. the psp has more mature games than ds and ds has childish games. dumbass."

I see the YouTube crowd doesn't quite catch your subtle sense of humour.

Argh, my youtube description says it's a joke. It says not to respond unless you know what "spoof" means. But these people don't notice that.

IMO, the worst kind of fanboy is a Sony fanboy, because they are most likely to say something stupid. Personally, I own a DS and a PSP, and I like them both, so I can safely say that I'm not a fanboy at all.

I gotta agree with you on hating PSP fanboys.

I own only a PSP for its functionality (it's a MP3 player, video player, picture viewer, etc...), as well as for playing games.

Had I more money I'd likely have purchased a DS by now.

But while PSP fanboys say dumber things more often, I find that DS fanboys pull out a lot of either cliched/stupid terms or skip the argument and get straight to the hatred.

The most used cliche would be "I'm loyal to the Big N", which earns the speaker the right to get shot.

I've noticed that often the fallbacks go to defenses like it having Mario, the greatness of the touch screen, and the PSP's once lack of good games (which it still lacks to a some degree)

Yes, the multimedia capabilities of PSP are very interesting but... I can do the same with my DS :P. Granted you need a fashcard, but even that way DSLite+FlashCard is more or less the same price of a PSP. It's a matter of preferences. Personally, I like the posibilities of the Touchscreen (wait for DS Linux to get farther) and the longer batery life. Some other will prefer the superior raw power of the PSP. I can only say: Respect the others choice.

that reminds me, would you rather be running your PC emulator/terminal service session on a  PSP or a DS...
I would have to hate to thing how you would navigate a pc with the thumb stick, and trying to type? No chance.
Touch screen and GUI go hand in hand, a shame it is the same with the Wii.
