laptop keypad patch
« on: 2007-02-05 15:58:11 »

I just recently tried to get back into ff7.After a few days of tweaking and such i finaly found a laptop keypad patch which made things seem to work.

But once I got to the character name screen i couldn't move the cursor. After reading the forums here I then went back a tried the trick listed and i could move the cursor around but I hit the wall...Once I put the cursor on to select and press the (OK) button nothing happends...

I tried using the numpad but My keyboard for this laptop does not have a Numpad Enter button...

Any suggestions...

It's only a few posts below yours. You should try to search even a bit before posting.

I think that topic does not quite apply to his situation, he's apparently figured out how to use the numpad on his laptop but cannot press the Enter key.

The only thing I can say is try Fn+Enter (worked on mine back in the day) or see if you can find a USB keyboard to use.

Sorry then '^^

BTW on my laptop the standard ENTER key works... In case it could help, on mine, keypad intro key is Fn+`
