Vertex color with the 3DS format
« on: 2007-03-20 18:58:54 »
I'm using 3ds max to do a model for the NPC RC and I colored it with the Vertex Paint modifier... so here's the problem ... as soon as I convert it into 3DS format so I can convert it to .P with Pcreator it loses the vertex painting I made... so is the 3DS format compatible with vertex color?? ... if yes how can I get it to work with the 3DS format... if not how can I color it so the 3DS format keeps my colors.... But as far as I can recall... the 3DS farmat supported the vertex color...

Well thanks in advance.

PCreator can't handle vertex colours remember? It's one of the first things Reunion said when he released it.

Anyway... if I understand correctly the only way I will get the colors to ff7 is by converting the colors into textures.... dahh what a mess... anyway thanks for your help... ohh and BTW I'm looking right now about your sonic model  :-) hehe.

See you
