I unzipped the model and I'm working on it.
I'll try and have it ready by tommow.

Sorry for the double post, but if I didn't, no one would know my news.

No, my Sonic Project isn't dead. I just took a couple of weeks off to get ready for finals.

Anyway.....

New progress has been made using the new Kimera. I've editind the animation to better fit Sonic. It still looks akward, but at least the bones fit now.
I also managed to get it textured. I used the model ultima espio put on the first page and colored it in Kimera and it worked fine.
Now I'm beggning to turn towards battle. I did the basic. Replaced Clouds parts with Sonics and pished them together, but, of course, in battle they go flying every whinch way in order to fit Clouds animation. I don't know what to do about this.
Any Thought?

Yeah you can't change the battle stance to fit your own, you have to make it fit clouds original battle stance. Do that and you should be fine.

Double post for big news!

First realese of the patch, check first post.

Anyway, this is a "big" Sonic, for now, since the animations for small Sonic are still a W.I.P.

Seriously, the board will tag a thread as 'new', if you edit your post.

There really is no reason to bump something that is 12 hours old, and at the time was like the 3rd of the non-stickied threads.

Please stop doing that. :x

I am terribly sorry. I didn't know.

Most Forums I go to don't bump you if all you do is edit a post.

Edit: This leads to my next question. How would you texture a battle model? PCreator, clearly. But I can't seem to get the bitmap to convert into the "file" format for battle use.

Theres an option in the toolbar dropdown that says texture file(s) tick that and you will have a .tex file created in the same directory as the original bitmap. Don't forget it has to be 8-bit and a resolution from 64x256, 128x512,256x1024 etc. Or it won't work ingame.

I know that. But .tex files won't work for battle models.

You have to delete the .tex extension off the end, if thats not it I think you'll have to be more specific with your question.

That looks pretty cool, espio.
Right now I've been tinkering with the battle model.

Going back to my previos (spelling error) question.
Texturing battle models. Here's my procces. (Spelling again)
I load up my model part in PCreator.
I get the texture on the way I want it.
I tick Texture File on the pull down menu.
Tick Battle Model.
Save.

The model gets saved as a battle model but the texture is in .TEX format. Any thoughts?

Edit: I've been working on the model for most of the day. Care to see?

I'll quote myself.

Just say it's sonic.tex you delete .tex off the end so it becomes sonic, you would then change the name to whatever texture file you need say it was cloud his first texture would rtac.

Edit:
Only two screeny's this time. I'm becoming ever pleased with the battle model. Just need to repostion the weapon.
I'm also probly gonna do some text editing to reflect that Sonic is a hedgehog.

Just a tip. You'll probably find it easier to maye resize and move the hands and arm rather than the weapon, because if you move the weapon you will have to move all the weapons to fit the hands rather than if you just make the hands fit the weapons once, when I was doing all those weapons I was cinstantly in and out of game checking to see if it was right because the weapon doesn't show in kimera you have to open it separately and move it, so you dont really have any referance to go on unless you constantly keep restarting the game and going into a battle to check.

Rewiring this post compltetly, I'm having some trouble with a new model I'm working with, I.E. Tails. My problem is, while in battle the head looks like it would if you ticked Mesh in kimera. I tried decoloring the head and deshading it to no avail. It looks fine in feild. Any thoughts?
