i'm stuck after blowing up the second reactor
« on: 2007-07-07 09:17:13 »

what happens is, we fight the robothingy, and of course the thing blows up.  i have the patch to skip a frame and 'turn on the lights' so I can get to where Cloud is hanging off the side, but the game won't progress past that.  it's a shame too, because the game looked wonderful otherwise.

so i'm wondering a few things -
0 how to force the game to progress?
0 can i fix something not to need the skip/lights things?
0 is this an early symptom of what's going to turn into a lot more crud?

i'm thinking at this rate, no fmv requiring input is going to work.  hopefully someone here has experienced something similar... well not hopefully, but... hopefully someone knows how to fix it.  that's better.  :-D

spec-
p4 2.66/2x512mb 3200/256mbgeforcefx5950/sblive/generic usbpad ]- new drivers (audigy4) on sblive and recent drivers on geforce

install-
ff71.0cds/movies on hdd/*1.02/*minigamefix/*gyptinstant/*transparent/*NPCrecon/*spells

can't think of anything else i can add that someone might want to know about.

any help will be greatly appreciated thankyou!  :-D

ed: i also wondered if anyone's had any experience getting the soundfont to work with any cards beyond the awe32?

How about "just" making the movies work for you? :P Seeing that you used the "movies to the HDD trick":
 - did you set the path correctly ("\" at the end of the path)
 - did you install all the needed filters (TM2.0)
 - did you disable every interfering one (ffdshow)

AHA!  See, those are things i forgot to list.  I got the duck 2.0 patch, and i axed ffdshow per the directions i read...here probably.  however, i will have to check about the trailing \ on the path.  that i didn't think of.

ed: no slash.  makes sense i would forget it, i never liked guns 'n roses anyway... :?
