ok so it just finished updating my files and the next step says


4) Create a new char.lgp using lgptools and delete the char folder.

how do i create the new file and do i put in the files from the char folder?

I'll cover this if nobody minds.
to create a new char.lgp tools you use your chosen lgp tools, then choose, 'create' (at least for ficedula's anyway) and then when it asks for what files it shall make the new lgp file from,
choose the folder that you made the changes to (this case, char folder inside the FF7 directory, data, field directory) and then chose to save the new lgp file as char.lgp either as the char.lgp in the field folder inside the data directory, or anywhere else on your PC.

ok well i made the new file but for some reason the original file is still there

what should the file size be when i create it?

files sizes:

58.7 mb
156 mb

okay, checking my file size now and it's... 58.0 MB. (didn't have a fresh NPC RP char.lgp. so i checked the size of the folder that had the changes)
(did you put some other files inside the folder such as the contents of the battle.lgp?)
but, did you try the new char.lgp in place of the proper one? (to see if it works or not with the NPC RP graphics) then we shall see what to do from there.
