CD rom help with FF7

does anyone know how to edit which drive the game reads from.  It keeps saying insert disc when i start the game but disc is in drive  :?

    • A new copy of FF7 thanks to Salk. Pack (zip/rar/etc) your saved game before sending it to me.

Edit this key with regedit:
Code: [Select]
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII\Data DriveOr just use the correct drive. Since you've installed FF7 using it, it obviously works.

Umm sorry to ask  but what is regedit?  Also, i thought i was using the same drive that i installed in but not entirely sure.

It does use the same drive you installed it from. How many drives you got? Just test them all.
