Cosmo Canyon Freeze after visiting the Huge Materia

I was going back to Cosmo Canyon to fuse a Master Materia and after I had I went back down and after the movie of the life coming down the game just freezes.  Just like on the Gold saucer date freeze.  Cloud just stands there blinking endlessly... anyone else get stuck this?  This is on Disc 2 btw so maybe it will fix itself on 3?  Strangely I didnt have the regular Cosmo freeze everyone else had.

Nevermind I found the answer on the forums.. ff7 does not like the k-lite codec pack.  I wish I knew which filters cause ff7 problems though.  If anyone knows please post a reply.  I tried using gspot to make sure it was just the true motion codec getting used but no dice.  I suspect it may be the gabest avi splitter that is now the default one.  Ill mess around with it I guess. At any rate I can get  my mastered materia with k-lite uninstalled then reinstall it and play and watch movies
