Question about my current levels, good or bad?
« on: 2008-01-23 13:15:50 »
hey everyone,

i thought id asked everyone about my current levels, and if there any good. ive just left midgar for the very first time (im on the world map) disk 1. and my current levels are roughly 17 for all characters.

i have done a little bit of training and plan to do loads in an area near where i am, but what does everyone reckon?

also, i havnt played this game in ages, and im a bit baffed as to what a good character set up is. should i have one character purely attacking and others more magic based.

any replies will be most welcome, thank you!

This topic should go into the general forum.

17 is Ok I think, and do whatever you like with the character setting, this game is easy anyway :P

if you played more than one ff game, you should be already used to that :]

it's not really a matter of levels, as you can do a low-level game, or use those stat-increasing items (what they were called, again?)

Think I'm about level 22 just about to fuck up Rufus. I'm not leaving Midgar until I beat the 1,000 HP limit for every character (bar Aeris, probably).

By doing so you'll make every boss up to Gi-Natak be a piece of cake to defeat.

Seriously, keep it low on the levels. This game is already easy enough.

The game is much more fun if you not level that much. I remember the 1st time the only times it got hard was on some bosses. I still liked it though. After that I remember doing a h*ll of leveling up in Midgard so that I could claim Beta from Midgard Zolom the 1st time 'round there. The game than was not even a walk in the park. The next thing I tried was to keep the level as low as possible. The game got more challenging  and fun.  :-D 8-)

Hm, I haven't yet tried a low-level challenge... I did No Materia once and I was very disappointed with how easy it was... (Midgar Zolom was pretty much the only thing that gave me major trouble)
