I got to the point of the chocobo race and the game crashed. I tried a couple more times and it still crashed. I reapplied the chocobo patch and it still crashed. I completley uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, added the 1.02, laptop, and chocobo patches, and put my saved game back on and it STILL crashes. It's driving me fucking crazy. Unless I'm missing something obvious it appears I can't get past this point. Isn't there a patch or something that allows me to skip racing entirely? At this point I don't care at all that I'll never get Knights of the Round I just want to play the god damn game.
I'm running on a Dell D620, Win95 mode, 1.02 but without checking the NVIDEA box as that's not my chipset. Using those settings I've played since the beginning with no problems until now.
