Need help on how to continue playing FFVIII~

Hello everyone,
 
         I'm new here.  :-D I have a problem with the FFVIII game. I managed to installed and played the demo version till it ended, but the problem now is that I don't know how to continue from demo to the full version game... There's a friend of mine said that I should move the file from FFVIII Demo Save file to FFVIII Save Slots, but I didn't see anything (as if I never save anything there..) to be moved there.. Mine was DvD, so, hope someone can help me with it... Thanks a lot! :-)

Why not start fresh? You won't be missing some part of plot that way.
