Thought id make this thread to see what other RPGS people have enjoyed beside the Final Fantasy series.

1. Persona 4  (PS2)
2. Chrono Trigger The game that should have been remade for a next gen console not the DS! (SNES,PSX,DS)
3  The Legend Of Dragoon (PSX)
4. Lunar 2 Silver star story (PSX)
5  Grandia 1 (PSX)
6. Persona 3 FES (PS2)
7. Shadow Hearts (PS2)
8. Hack series (PS2)
9. Chrono Cross (PSX)
10. Travelers Story (PSP)

I must confess that (beyond a bit of experimenting to see how they feel) I haven't played a non-Square RPG  :cry:

And I probably won't play any seriously until I've finished all of the FFs.

In any case, Chrono Trigger is brilliant. I like it more than any of the FFs except VII

Wow, I love your list. I haven't really thought about my list, and at the moment I'm too tired to!  :lol:
But Shadow Hearts would DEFINATELY be on there.

In any case, Chrono Trigger is brilliant. I like it more than any of the FFs except VII

Don't know what your missing man some off them are as good as any of the FFs.

I certainly intend to get most of the good RPGs that have ever been released finished at some point.

Unfortunately there don't seem to be many new ones getting released at the moment. Shame...

Here are my Top10 other than Final Fantasy, don't mind the order since I treat them all pretty much equally.

1. Super Mario RPG (Yes, the great Square game that nobody seems to remember now) - SNES
2. Golden Sun - GBA
3. Castlevania Symphony of the Night (For me it's a RPG, say whatever you want :P) - PSX/PSP
4. Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+
5. Grandia 2 and 3 - PS2
6. Soma Bringer - DS
7. Pokemon Gold - GBC
8. Chrono Trigger - SNES/PSX/DS
9. Brave Story - PSP
10. Rogue Galaxy - PS2

8. disgaea series (well, it's more a strategy rpg)

I've recently bought Persona 3&4; I've played a little of 3 FES and it looks quite promising so far. It certainly interesting to play an RPG set in a modern school.
