Having issues with a couple of mods.

First off I would like to say hello to the Qhimm community, I'm happy to be here. I've been playing RPGs (especially from Square) for about 10 years now and I'm very excited to see a community dedicated to breathing new life into a classic title like Final Fantasy VII.

Background - Mobility x600 GFX card, 1GB ram, 2.2 GHz Intel Centrino, XP Pro 32bit system. FFVII version 1.02

Now to my issues. I downloaded and installed Phoenix Rejuvenation Project and immediately incurred 2 problems; First my opening movie came in flipped upside down and second the game crashed following the first battle encounter. So I downloaded the movie fixer and as advertised it corrected the movie's aspect, but sadly as it didn't advertise did not rectify my battle crash dilemma. So, I uninstalled the PRP as I had found that it was pretty filled with bugs any ways.

So, I decided to check out ice_cold513, Borde , and stormmedia's NPC reconstruction project and after installing did not notice any changes in the NPCs, could I have possibly been doing something wrong?

Also, I'm wondering if there are any other highres patches other than the ones found on the wiki as a search on the forums produces MANY topics on the same one, so I'm thinking no, but possibly one of you knows of one, if you can change the res to 1280x960 it should be possible to get any resolution, right?

Thanks for reading over this whoever is reading this, I understand that the residents of this forum are pretty hard on noobs but hopefully my post is put together in a way that will not incur the wrath of the Qhimm gods.

Pretty sure more resolutions are planned by adding black bars around the gameplay.  The way it works though is that gameplay will only display in multiples of 320x240.  Other resolutions have to have borders supposedly.

Also, as far as battle crashes go, have you enabled compatibility mode for windows 98?  Try that first.
