Final Fantasy VII graphics issue.
« on: 2009-06-01 17:06:49 »
I just installed Windows Vista 64-Bit and wanted to play further on my FF7 save which I played earlier this day on Windows XP. I did all the configurations I did for XP and got the game to work.

In the menus is it a much darker colour, so you can really see which buttons which are available to click on. And the screen is yellow-ish in the gameplay. I can walk around and do everything, but the graphics are messing up.

Specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67
RAM: 6GB
OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit
GFX: Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 513MB

Modifications:
Final Fantasy VII official patch v1.02
Latest K-Lite Codec pack, full install. Disabled it's truemotion 1,2 and installed 2.0
Final Fantasy VII High Resolution patch by The SaiNt which included the chocobo patch.
Dziugo's YAMP (9999 limit breaker, transparent textboxes, Miinigames patch & gypt)

Don't use The SaiNt's high resolution patch. It used to be great, but Aali's Custom Graphics Driver does everything that The SaiNt's patch does, except it does it better, and without patching the EXE.

This is not to say that this is for sure the cause of your problem, but it could be, and it's certainly worth using Aali's driver anyway.

You probably already fixed this, but if not, open the config exe make sure that you have Hardware Rendering enabled. Also tick the NVIDIA and TNT boxes. Even if you did this before, just take a look again. My config reset itself somehow at one time, maybe the same thing happened to you.

I had this exact same problem and fixed it by doing the above.
