FF7 Crashes Issue
« on: 2009-07-30 17:16:18 »
Hey there im new to this forum i am running FF7 on Vista Home Premium 64bit. I installed the patches Available from this page here: http://wiki.qhimm.com/FF7/Technical/Customising

All i Installed were the Chocobo Racing patch; Truemotion Codec and the 1.02 Patch.

My current problem is the following:

The game freezes in the cut scene you get after you kill the boss "Inside Gaea's Cliff" .. where you leave the cave and climb to the summit (the mountain where u need to climb to different ledges and keep your temp up) you see a cut scene of what looks like a huge water tornado? cant seem to get around this it always freezes as the cut scene goes into the little section.

Is there anyway i can fix this its kind of getting me mad that i am stuck behind this part of the game since i cant event pass it.

It doesn't need any high res patches.  Do not modify the 1.02 ff7.exe

If you mean other patches like changing models or avatars, that is fine.

What do you mean about high-res patches?

If you're talking about changing the resolution using the new driver, just open the ff7_opengl.txt and change the internal resolution to your screen resolution.

Just download the PRP and replace 00 with char.lgp and 01 with world_us.lgp.

Don't use the PRP.exe, it's very unstable.

HI there Kepi...hmm..I did get the same prob back then with the Hi res Cloud...I suggest you use APZ Cloud model instead.

Because thats what The HI Res Cloud changes right?...But if you want you should read carefully the instructions on the Hi res Cloud (I think its provided). Thats how i fixed then...
