2 people- 2 problems

Ok, 2 people are having 2 problems:

First one:
Can't control chocobo's in chocobo races- he can't switch from 'automatic' to 'manual' ( I hope that's the right expression in english). He tried out every key on his keyboard- nothing switches that! And he *OMG* applied the XP-Patch.

Second one:
A very weird problem:
This person can't control anything- the cursor jumps from one button to the other one all the time- it never stops and so it makes the game unplayable.

First one:

It's either the "Assist" or "Start" button. Look at the config menu and see which keys those are assigned to. It'll be one of those. If they don't work, assign them to different keys.

If they have a joystick plugged in, especially one with an analog controller(s) then it's likely a dead-zone issue. One of my game pads does this every now and then. It's no longer physically stable and it's sending signals to the machine that it's barely moving. With games that expect a digital signal (0 is the only off and 0.00001 is on) then it will jump around a lot like this. That's the only explanation I can think of.

Problem 1 is solved, no key has worked, but after applieing (?) the keypad-patch it worked

But the 2nd one is not solved yet- he's not using a gamepad, but it's moving and moving and moving xD
