I hear they made a 3rd game for (CELL PHONES!?) in Japan and planning on making a real canon game for the PS3 if the internet tells me the truth...

By Square, my favorite series is of course Final Fantasy, but for a "Side-Seris" this is the best of all of them. Of course the best story was in the first one, but I was a master of the 2nd game, beaten it like a million times because I have no life.  Anyway, let me know your thoughts, can't really type in a whole thing here cause I'm at school right now...waiting...for the bell...

A Parasite Eve II; I've played that game quite a few times. I've never played the first one since it wasn't released in Europe (quelle surprise!)

A third Parasite Eve game on the PS3 would be quite welcome, but I fear that the internet rarely tells the truth...

If you haven't played the first game, I suggest you do. I beaten it about 2 or 3 times when my PC was crazy and had like 8 Trojans...then I heard of something called reinstalling an OS.

I say find the .ISO and an emulator, or go out and find it, its very good. Kept RPG elements like stats, equipment (Weapon(GUN) and Armor(Vests)).  That and you could name a weapon of your choice near the end of the game, always called my gun EVE, and my Armor AYA. Magic was PE (Parasite Energy) Heal, Heal 2, Energy shot (meh) etc...yes very good game.

i nearly beat the first game, beat the boss, then died in teh chase scene... then never touched the game again.

Never played.. Always wanted to though. Had a demo video for it when i first got my PS1

i rented the first one and got a good ways through it before reurning it to the store.  Seemed like a solid game but got kinda boring.  I have the same problems with RE-style games too though.

An oldie i had forgotten that i loved was a cool RPG called "Legend of Legaia". It had learnable moves similar to the way Chrono Trigger was.  I got all the way to the end and my PS1 fried. I haven't bought a game console since. Wow, almost 10 years.....

anyway, i'd recommend picking up this one to if your bargin diving for PE already. I bet both games could be had for $10 at this point(probably all three!)

That part was a real surpirse to me, cause you pretty much just blew the &@!@ out of that thing already, how the hell can it still move?

I got Both Chrono's but we all know how sequels go...

I'll think about it, I've heard some good things about that game a while back...

i LOVE legend of legaia! I wish i still owned it it broke when i dropped my PS1 when i was younger

I had to "import" it after playing the 2nd one, I do prefer the 2nd one by miles, the first isn't very well polished and is rather sluggish during combat.


Loved the Gunblade you got as a completion bonus, wafting it or shooting did very little damage alone but shoot while swinging and you make Squall look like a little girl with the amount of damage you do.

I always found that when Aya ran it looks like her boots had no grip and she was slipping, slowly running forward.

Actually, I loved the bonuses in general, and they were one of the reasons I kept on playing the game; it was like Resident Evil, where there are also completion bonuses and such, but PE II's system was much better. The other reason I kept on playing the game and completed it several times was that it was also very fun to play. There were some great enemies there and one could have hours of fun blasting away at them
