I still have a feeling that it might be the movies; sometimes they work in a video player like WMP, but don't work in game.
Unless someone else comes up with a good solution, I suggest you do some experimenting. Maybe you could recopy the movies, or copy the title screen movie from a different disc (it sounds like your problem is one of the three videos that play before the game starts, which are on all of the discs). If you do, we can see whether the movies are corrupt or whether something else is going on.
In the worst case scenario, you can play without the movies, but that shouldn't be necessary; I'm sure that someone whi knows what he's talking about will come along sooner or later and give you a decent solution to this problem.
