Default name changing in the PC FFVII

Alright, a new question.  Is it possible to change the default names of the characters?  Or rather, the name that shows up for a character when you first meet them and you are allowed to rename them.  Wallmarket only covers the character's starting name only, so I can't set the default name of Cloud, Cait Sith or Vincent.  I've changed who Cloud is so I was wanting to be able to change the default name you are given when you have to rename him.

Unfortunately, I read somewhere that this information is in the actual .exe itself.  Is this true, and does that mean it's untouchable?

yes, I recently located the data inside FF7.exe, see wallmarket thread.  You will need knowledge of hex editing for now and also need the FF7 text code chart found here >

There is no program made at the moment to do all this for you.  However, if you can\'t do this and want me to help, I will.  Just PM me.

Ah, alright.  Yeah, I was able to find it after looking for awhile.  Changed it there and sure enough it worked!  I'm sure one of the tools here will be able to edit that eventually, but for now this definitely works.  Thanks!
