That's it, I'm leaving for good this time! Please ban me! I'll post pr0n until you do! Pay attention to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :-D

I actually think that number 1 is sometimes legitimate, at least in cases where the other person has gone a bit too far in proving a point. The person has lost the argument, of course, but has won at not taking the intertubes seriously.

I approve of #10.

Ya know, #10 reminded me of something.

It's always the least literate people on internet forums who are the most arrogant and the most sure that they are an expert in whatever subject they are discussing, especially when they have a high post count. In fact, well-spoken people on forums tend to become more respectful as their post count goes up, whereas the ones who can barely string together a sentence become more assured of their own superiority.

I'm not talking about anyone here, BTW :-D

No, srsly, I think people like that who come here will run into Jari at some point and will leave soon after.

Oh Jarl's not that bad. He just gets someone going until one of the MOD's use the ban hammer or himself. All in all I think Jarl's not a bad guy I actually think he has a cute kitten avatar (many of them). On another note what did this Hemoor/Seifer guy do that was so bad I can't find anything that they really did wrong to justify people referring to it as the "Seifer indecent"?.

Er, I was actually saying that it's good to have him around when people start misbehaving ;-)

The Seifer incident is something that went on for a long time. He got into a fight at another forum (I'm not going to go into the details of who was right or wrong), and the fight spilled over into these forums. Soon afterwards, Seifer got into arguments with other people and IRL threats were made. Jari decided to call Seifer's bluff and this happened. Seifer ended up leaving but came back a few times, each time picking a fight with someone who'd stuck up for him in the past.

Hermoor got into an argument with me about whether FF7's popularity was due to it appealing to emos and weeaboos. Everyone agreed with me that he was wrong, so he called all the people here emos and weeaboos, told us how much he hated us all, and made a lot of bizarre rants that included homophobia, xenophobia, weird conspiracy theories and borderline racism. Pretty much every thread in the completely unrelated section turned into a fight between Hermoor and everyone else (all of which Hermoor lost) and Hermoor got so pissed off that everyone was laughing at him that he teamed up with Seifer and spammed the boards with porn until he got banned. They then used proxies to make new accounts and did the same thing again and again until new user registration was banned. There's a lot more to it than this, but just thinking about the amount of fail involved hurts my head, so I won't go into more detail. :-D

OH MY! Did not know he/they did ALL that :-o.Guess they deserved Jarl's wrath...I'm amazed on how many people came to his defense and he burned them.Even some good programmers left for good!... Good one less site were I don't have to see some woman's stuff on my screen. I do not agree with you on who one sounds like seifer/hemoor have no life yet I pretty sure Jarl does so at the end of the day Jarl lost a lot of his time dealing with these people. He could have been fishing, swimming, or just playing a game. So if there was any one that really lost it would have been Jarl. So that we can post on these forums without viruses/prOn.

Meh, dealing with people like that can actually be pretty entertaining; it's more fun than fishing, at any rate :-D

And it is a shame that there were some "casualties" when Seifer left; fortunately, no-one seemed to be bothered when Hermoor went (BTW, Seifer and Hermoor are completely different people :-P; they share a few personality traits, but they're not the same person).

Yeah I knew they were different but they teamed up so that's why I grouped them together. Oh come on I thought guy's love to fish. :-)

It's "Jari", not "Jarl".

Jari decided to call Seifer's bluff and this happened.

I find it very interesting, reading that six months after it happened.  Especially the bits where I posted.  I, uh... "took a slightly different approach to the situation" back then...

That's probably because the incidents since then have changed people's opinions on Seifer...

Yeah, quite a bit has taken place here.  The things Hermoor did were things I wouldn't have ever thought he'd do half a year ago, but either I misjudged him, or the things that happened previously made him a more cynical person.  But I'm not one to say anything - you can never know a person... especially if you never meet them :| That's the anonymity of the internet.

I think Hermoor showed signs right from the beginning that he might cause trouble. I remember one of his first posts saying something along the lines of "this forum will be dead in a month". Of course, I never thought he'd go so far....

Seifer did surprise me, however, since he was such an inconspicuous member for the first few months he was here. I never thought he'd do what he did.

I never saw what Seifer did, but I didn't appreciate the pr0n flood we had that time. I still feel defiled. :P

I thought it was amusing that, after the "shock videos" discussion we'd had a week or so earlier, Seifer and Hermoor still thought I'd be offended by granny porn and German Goo Girls :-D
