You might wanna make sure you have a sound device selected in FF7Config, that can make the game crash on startup.It sounds like you don't have the right codecs to play the intro FMV.If you're using Aali's driver, you might need a codec pack like the CCCP, else you'll need the truemotion codecs and tm20dec.ax in your system32 folder....
