Well, it's stability shouldn't be a factor when it comes to preparing for the test . . .

. . . plus, I've been using it all this time without any issues.  (I'm probably gonna switch back to Win2K after taking 70-270 anyway, just because it's the more techy of the two OS's . . . and yes, I know that's a stupid reason.)

yea xp didn't crash for me until like the 3rd week. and it drops you internet after 30 minutes , if it thinks your not using the internet (i.e. internet explorer.) trust me, it's gonna become worse then me as soon as you start to really installing things and using your computer to it's "full" expent

Same here.

Now, I DO get disconnected alot . . . but that's my ISP's fault, and not Windows'.

(btw: I've been using XP for about 2 months now, with virtually no crashes, and I have plenty of software installed on my system.)

Its .. To each his own smurf :) ... Jesus sorry this is late.. i checked back.. and i thought this post was dead.. i hadnt been back to the board long enough to really browse around.. :) I go to a community college..VValentine....(for those that dont know in the US there are universities (4 year schools that teach math and science and all that crap.. then there are community colleges that teach that crap but allow you to take a 2 year way out of hell and learn a trade) thats what i am doing currently a programming major but I  really dont wanna be a programmer anymore though... cuz.. well .. i just .. i program sometimes.. but the majority of the time i dont.. i just dont really like it.. but dressing up programs i could deal with..

Thats why i thought this post was interesting.. most of the classes they offer at the community college just prep you for tests.. like being cisco certified and some A+ .. i was basically thinking of qutting school and getting some books then just taking the freakin tests.. for never cracking a book on A+ i scored a 57 on the practice test.. (bah laser printer mechanics :) ) i am kinda lost in all this school crap... i think i might just take the Cisco classes become certified then i will take the A+ somewhere along the way..

This is all new concept to me.. i had no clue these tests existed until a few months ago.. so i am still wondering where the hell i am gonna go with it.. or if i want to go to the graphic arts program.. cuz that would be really neat. and i am good in photoshop.. :)

any suggestions?

I'm seriously thinking about programming.

I dunno what kind of certification stuff I need to get into though.  I'm thinking about taking A+ before too long (I looked at the A+ book, know a lot of stuff and I'm interested in learning the rest).
