Has anyone gotten ff7 to run properly on Windows 7 yet? I tried to use search but...having a search with a keyword of "7" brings up A LOT haha. Whenever I try to run it it is just a black screen forever..no crash..just black. Anyone have any luck?

ff7 works just fine on windows 7, if theres a problem, its with your specs

How about trying to mount the isos at a virtual drive and copy the files in the cd to your ff7 directory and run the game so that you'll do not need to read the files in the cd instead. If the files in the cd itself is destroyed then yeah go buy the game again. You have the money anyways.

not illegal to make iso's of your own disks IF you own it, its illegal to put them out for download, and illegal TO download, but if the files are destroyed by scratches, the iso won't work

In some countries, yes. But in most English-speaking countries at least, it's perfectly legal to make backup copies of your own things, as long as you don't share them, and don't have to get past any DRM or antipiracy software to do so.

And legality aside, I think most people wouldn't see it as morally wrong, and it's virtually impossible to catch or prosecute.

His profile says Maryland (A US state). The US copyright laws and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act are rather vague on this subject. But technically it IS legal in the United States.

sorry I've been out of the conversation for a while lol. Yeah, I tried to make isos, My disc one isn't readable, I have no clue how it got so damaged, must've been during my move to college. I'm going to start looking for a reasonably priced one and maybe pick up the PC version of FF8 too, I only have to ps1 version.
