The toilet flushes forever
« on: 2010-05-18 05:43:07 »
The topic is exactly the problem. I edited every single field file in the PSX version of FF7 to make it uncensored, and have successfully done so. However....

On floor 66 of the Shinra building, when you go up to the toilet to climb into the heat shaft to watch on the meeting, it doesn't let you pick an option, and doesn't show the hand picker. It just forces you to hit O and flush. I even put the floor 66 dat file (I believe) back inside unedited, and this STILL happens.

Please help, i've been working on this for a couple weeks now.

This is the first time I've ever heard of this. Is this a glitch?? I've never had this before.

Thanks. I'd appreciate it, it's just so odd. I'll try to take a screenshot of it.

usually when your toilet won't stop running its time for a new flapper :), that is a very odd error. if you manage to figure out what you did change do let us know.

Well it didn't work. I accidently picked the wrong ISO to run when I was playing. I played the unmodded  :(. Here's a screenshot of what it is. I don't understand why this is happening. Also, I had the frames unlocked just to get there, it does the same with the cap on.

I know this is old, but I wanted to post to say that I ran into this again, and found the culprit. If you edit blin66_3 at all with hack_7, you'll automatically have this glitch. It's just really odd.

Yeah, this is a problem related to Hack7. I tried to edit dialogue myself a while back, and I couldn't open the safe to fight Lost Number / recruit Vincent anymore. Editing dialogue in a field file removes the hand cursors for that file, somehow...

Since he's french too, I'll email Lasyan3 to see if he's interested in fixing it.

EDIT:

Browsing his website, I realized that I used v1.0.3, when version 2.0.4 is available (which fixes this issue, among other things). For shame, I already sent him the email... ...I can imagine what he thinks "durr... ...Use the newest version, you retard"

lol ! Sounds right, yeah ^^ But "utilisez" is the polite way to address someone. In this case, "utilise" would be better   :-D
