Texture question
« on: 2010-06-02 07:47:06 »
Hey again.  So I have no clue if this topic belongs here, but I'm trying to make my FFVII look all nice and pretty before I start playing it.  I already have APZ's In battle Cloud model and...  Someones Barret battle model, but what I really want is out of battle characters.  Cloud specifically.  I have attempted using the Phoenix Rejuvenation Project, as well as the NPC Reconstruction mod, but I simply cannot get either to work.  So basically what I am asking is, outside of those two mods, are there any others I could possibly try out for a less legoy out of battle texture.  As always, thanks in advance, whether you can help me or not :)

you won't find much more (again, SEARCH BUTTON)

both nrp rp and pheonix reguvination work fine, if theres a problem, your likely installing wrong

What do you mean less legoy out of battle texture??
BTW the Barret model is Timu Sumisu's model.

By less legoy out of battle texture, I mean they look like characters made out of lego.  It doesn't bother me since I've played multiple times with them, but I figured if I have resources open to me, why not use them?  Also, thank you for the info on the Barret skin.

Also Jaitsu, I have used the search button.  Multiple times.  The only ones I could find with working links are NPC RP and PRP, and as I've said I just cannot get them to work.  Like you said I have obviously installed them wrong some how.

Hmm..
In the NPC RP Rejuvenation patch make sure you have installed your game into the default directory and when you use the patch it will automatically patch your lgp files.

In the PRP patch its pretty much the same with the npc rp but you'll have to run it on a new icon made by the patch in the desktop but the easiest way to use the prp patch is delete the two new icons in the desktop when your done and go to the main directory and in the data folder there will be a new folder. Its named ffprp or something(sorry I can't remember) and you will see 00.lgp and 01.lgp. Copy 00.lgp to the field folder then delete the char.lgp there and rename the 00.lgp to char.lgp. After that Copy 01.lgp to wm folder and delete the world_us.lgp and rename 01.lgp to world_us.lgp. Then delete the ffprp folder after you have copied and renamed the lgp's. Then run the game via the exe of ff7music and it should work fine.

NPC RP still not working -.-' I patched up the Char.igp file, and I followed all the instructions in the read me, and it still doesn't work...  My char.lgp file IS bigger, so in my eyes it should have worked.  But for some reason I still have the block people...  I just don't know what's wrong.  Would the fact that I am using Aali's cutom graphics driver have anything to do with it?  :?

Aali's driver should not pose a problem with running the NPC patch

Have you tried the prp patch that I've posted in my last pose in this thread?? And I'm sure it is not Aali's driver. I run prp patch before even when Aali's driver is not yet around and with Aali's driver it made the game better.

Welcome. :) And also about the music, Covarr made a tutorial in the game tweaking section. Search for it there. :)
