I'd love to join up, but seeing as I don't understand the concepts of Win32/64 programming, I doubt I'll be of much assistance. I do PHP, and I've had an attempt on Visual Basic.NET, but I just don't understand how or what to use it for.

I don't knopw for sure, but I heard nVidia Graphic cards might have some issues running the game, so either try one of the fixes in the configuration file, or try rolling back your drivers.

If you're using AnimeVamp's XP patch, then I highly suggest you reinstall your game because that patch is bad. You don't really need any XP patch to get FF7 running on your computer. WHat you need is Truemotion Codec 2.0 and The Chocobo Patch.

I know you said you was going to edit so we can edit the Command tab, and it seems like you figured it out as well. But is there really a way to edit the materia to create more cuts, or would that be impossible?

The game already will let you change the keys to use when playing the game. After you've loaded up your favorite savegame file, go to the menu and select config, then there is an option called Controller then select customize

So, by increasing it it will only make you move faster and such, but won't affect MIDIs etc? I would love to actually just get the FPS up to at least 80 if that is possible

Ah, this totally fixed my issue, but I can swear to god, I did search before posting this! Anyways, I have another small thing I'd like to ask; Is there a way to increase the FPS in this game? I used to have this game on an PlayStation Emulator (Yes, I have purchased the game), and I managed to set the FPS from 59,9 to 80 to create more smooth gameplay as FF7 is generally slow.

Hello all! I'm new here and I just found this site through Google after searching for a fix to my issue. Anyway,I did a search on this forum and I didn't find anyone with similar problems, only one guy on NTCompatible whom didn't get any working solutions, so I might as well sign up here and ask!
Anyways, I finally got Final Fantasy VII to actually start up after installing the codec needed to play movies or something. But I have this new problem, that happens when I have watched the first movie and AVALANCHE is just about to jump off the train, my speakers make weird sounds and the screen turn black, after some seconds after it turned to black, Barret says "Follow Me, Newcomer". The message box shows properly, so at least I can display some stuff, but I'm afraid that due to this games oldness, my graphic card and drivers are too new to even comprehend such an old game. And the fact is that, it looks like the game is still running and you can actually play the game, but the screen is black and the sound is gone. My graphic card is ATI PowerColor HD 3850.
Can anyone please help me?
