If you are gonna mount it you need to go into Reg-Edit.

If you're on Windows 7 you go to this

Hkey_Local_Machine > Software > Wow6432node > Square soft, Inc > Final Fantasy 8 > 1.00

Then click "DataDrive" set it for the drive your trying to play the disk on. 

I've done this and it works.  Now I just have to figure out why mine crashes when I try to load game >_<

How...exactly is that illegal?  I didn't torrent or download the game, my friend doesn't loan it out so I had to do this instead.  I would GLADLY use the original disks but I can't, he's a prick and won't let me.

Been a while since I posted here...anyways, I went to a friends house who still had the game, copied the images of his games so now I have all the ISO's and it's been giving me this "Wrong disk" error...Do I need to patch it?  I looked around and found some forum telling me to go into my regedit, which I did and I couldn't find the "Squaresoft" folder in the software part.  So any idea's guys?  I do hope I posted this in the right place.

It's not sweet Jaitsu...IT'S EPIC!  I love pointing and laughing at pirating newbs.  For starters, if you pirate ANYTHING!  You NEVER talk about it, if you do, you NEVER mention where you got it from.  Just basically... if you pirate something, don't talk about it, don't brag about it, don't ever mention it...just pretend like you bought the game and copied it to ISO's

Screw summer!  It's so hot here in Oklahoma, I have to sleep in my car because I can't breathe in my house!  My mother has an Air Conditioner in her room, and my dad has a fan in his.  I'm left in a room with no wind, so I go to my car drag an extension cord to it and plug in my cell phone and sleep with the windows down.  I WANT WINTER BACK!

I've always wanted to see  a good Amv of Full metal Alchemist with Linkin Park's In the end, the struggles in that show match the song pretty. well

Thats a good idea, I'll make one for ya'  Of Course, a friend of mine IRL gave me a great idea to produce I suppose my own little "series" called "Jim's Farm" because I live on alot of land in the country, I have Four wheelers, old junk cars, four ponds ect ect ect...so yeah, I'll try some of that too.  I'll do both AMV's and my own productions and see how they turn out.

Well... If people want new AMV's input into the game, I'm pretty sure they have someone ALOT better then me to handle it...but if it is asked of me to do it, I can, I won't put any "Special" effects or anything, won't speed it up, or slow it down because it won't need music behind it, it will be basically unedited.

lets see...I'm good with music yes, mostly hardcore/metal/rock and crap.
I can clip/edit videos decently, and uuhh...
I can pick out scenarios and bring up pretty decent stuff off the top of my head. Lets see... I can't anime/draw worth crap so thats out of the question...hell I may just put another video of my ol' red pickup again.  Although this time i won't be hot rodding it, I already blew the motor in it once because I didn't know pouring cold water on a hot engine while it wasn't running would crack your headers...so yeah...I'll find something, and if you guys are interested, I'll post it.

1. I didn't download mine from a torrent, it was actually Mediafire links.

Doesn't matter. Still illegal unless its YOUR LEGALLY ACQUIRED copy

2. It wasn't the Ultima edition, it still requires the CDs to play.

If you didn't BUY IT FROM AN AUTHORIZED RETAILER or A PREVIOUS OWNER then it's still illegal

3. It was not a virus, I've scanned it with 4 different anti-virus software.

Doesn't mean it's not a virus and he didn't say it was. The entire torrent could be purposefully mislabeled or contain a file that does something you don't know about. Also, virus scanners aren't 100% safe anyway.

4. It works perfectly with all the mods I have. In fact, the site where I downloaded it from was encouraging the use of these mods.

But if it DOESN'T work we're all going to point at you and laugh.

5. I didn't want to go out and pay for a (probably) rare game.

So you decided to break the law instead, eh? I don't want to pay for a PS3. I guess I'll just go to Best Buy and sneak one out.

6. How would me downloading an illegal version of the game make you guys at risk?

If we support it then that would be condoning piracy. If SE got word of that then they'd shut down the entire site for sure and the owner (Qhimm) could get in serious legal trouble like the guys at thepiratebay did for allowing it to even occur.

You sir...are an idiot...YOU PURCHASE THE GAME BECAUSE *Drumroll* The torrented versions like "ULTIMA" edition...are completely bullshit.  You have a chance to be downloading 1 or 2 gigs worth of virus' that murder your computer, not to mention you could land yourself a pretty fine from the fed's.  We tell you to purchase it because WE DON'T WANT TO BE APART OF PIRACY YOU JACKASS!  God, do i have to go to your house and stamp "Dumbass" on your forehead or something?  Grow some damn braincells!

Alright, here's the Idea.  Everyone LOVES jackass, and people love smartasses, and people getting hurt...I can do all of the above :p  I live on like...60 Acres of land, I have four ponds, plenty of hills, I have Horses, Cows, Dogs, cats chickens, I basically live on a damn farm, I have a Tractor, two ATV's, Like...six junk cars, an old truck that still runs, and basically...there is alot of potential for me to make a "jackass" based series that I would hope get some views, and some good better ideas for youtube...  So my question is...is there anything people would like to see my hillbilly ass do?
