hehe, saw this coming next.
glad you got aali's driver working, cus here's where the fun really starts.
PRP installs 2 files you will use but the installer itself is pretty old so the actual executable files it gives you don't work.
all you really need to do is rename the 00.lgp file located in data\ffprp\ in the game directory to char.lgp and copy it to the data\field\ directory overwriting that file. Do the same thing with 01.lgp, renaming it world_us.lgp and copying it to data\wm\ overwriting the original file.
Of course if you had taken my advice and watched the tutorial video on
www.finalfantasy7pc.com you would know how to install this

Also, owning to advice DarkFang gave, earlier in this same thread, I've installed remix in order to use the .lgp files it generates. I copied battle.lgp magic.lgp world_us.lgp and char.lgp from the data folder after installing remix, and saved them in a seperate file. Then uninstalled FF7 and reinstalled vanilla, replacing those lgp files afterwards. This leaves you needing only to install the official 1.02 patch, aali's driver, and the recent DLPB/Kranmer Menu Overhaul. This seems fairly solid. Another way to go for a modded install anyway. But those few lgp files contain the bulk of the modded game data available to the community.
Aside from that, there are some great mods that you install by placing the files into the Mods\ directory. In aali's ff7opengl.cfg file the Menu Overhaul will set the modpath as DK so makes sense to use that. The Magochocobo\Felix Lionheart battle bgs and World Map overhaul are the major mod you'll want to add using this method (simply by copying the files provided into your modpath directory, usually into a subdirectory of their own). Also Sl1982s bombing missions field backgrounds, and Yarlson's Blackfan Project (which is pretty large and includes the Northern Crater backgrounds) are installed using modpath.
Good Luck on all this, I think I'm gonna stop replying to this thread lol
