Try going into C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\7thWorkshop and deleting everything. When you start up 7H, you will need to redo all your Settings again.

Sorry, but I can't predict a time because I work on something and run into a tangle every now and then that delays me.

I'm back from my vacation. Installed the music and sounds pack. Problem. With either VGMSTREAM or FF7MUSIC plugin, the game is completely mute. Without the plugins enabled, I get the new sound effects, but not the new music, just the old music. What am I doing wrong?

I really don't know how that happens. You can see it being cut off on the right. Are you running from some kind tv output device? Try adjusting your Windows screen resolutions.

FF7Music Plugin should not be installed, so it sounds like you've either manually installed it or run a Bootleg install prior to using 7H. What is your APP.log saying when you launch the game? Also, run Dbgview before launching and see how it's using the music files from the 7H mods.

The Game Converter used from STEP 1 will extract it into the shaders folder.

Music is working now, guess the game just needed restarted.

Now I just have to keep cycling through the different soundtracks to find which one I like.

Is there a way to use the new sound effects without the battle voices?

EDIT: Chose my soundtrack, using "Professional 1" and everything is fantastic, game looks runs and sounds great.

I only have two minor problems, first the field and battle screens have a black bar at the bottom. The victory screen doesn't, just field and battle. What's causing this?

And I'm still wondering about battle voices. They seem out of place, I'd only want this if someone did a full voice mod. That can wait for the PS4 remake though.

Thanks for the help troubleshooting btw

ahh..  was using an old GC (ver 0.10) thats why i have an old aalis driver

Tried to start over again by doing a clean install..But now when i run ff7_gameconverter_7h or ff7_gameconverter_0.11 it both gave me an error message INCOMPATIBLE.. only ff7_gameconverter_0.10 lets me convert the game....

Can i just install over it the new aalis drivers?? Do i need to configure more..

Incompatible Source Files is a file check for a few of the commonly downloaded pirated copies. Sorry, but the converter won't work with those.

FF7_GameConverter_7H.bat is not what should be running. I don't know how you got that .bat file compressed into a 7zip, but that's not what is downloaded from STEP 1. The download will give you FF7_GameConverter_7H.exe.

Your install path of the game is a little wonky also. E:\Games\FF7\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII --- How did you manage to get part of your Steam folder into C:\Games\FF7 ?

It is easy.
Using 7zip I unpack exe.
Then running bat with administrator privileges.
This is not problem.
Problem is that that your FF7_GameConverter_7H.exe packed or unpacked create total freeze on my system. Crashing it. Im forced to turn off PC (now for 100th time).
It install everything but crashes PC. In your video it works normaly, in my system (even with XP SP3 compatibiliy mode) it is endless loop.
I have huge problem with FF7.exe . My orginall FF7.exe works without any problem on x64 system.  I have orginal 1998 FF7 and 2013 steam 1.09 (not both installed in same tame)
I can't get beep sound and game freezes in quarter of window.Only workaround is to press CTRL+ALT+Del otherwise beep sound goes in to loop again freezing my pc (no input keyboard or mouse is possible ONLY power switch)

For Installation path it is E: /Games/FF7 .  Steam is on D:/ Steam
Multiple hard disks

Now I'm trying to install 1998 version (4 CD)
My registry key for Game Converter located in Squae Soft,Inc
Running_GameConverter_From .... REG_SZ... C\Users\(My ID)\AppData\Local\Temp\7zipSfx.001 as was similar with steam 2013 edition
Everything is installed properly even lgp. so exe is working but also freezes

I upacked exe only to see content because of this endless loops.
It seems that inserted BEL BEL BEL in your code doing that.

Here
:get_Source
)
ECHO.
ECHO.>>FF7_GC.log
:: manually input SourcePath
ECHO BEL Installation path found at...
ECHO Installation path found at...>>FF7_GC.log

This BEL in (ECHO BEL Installation path found at...) starts freeze beacuse my system do not recognize it in cmd mode.
I suspect that ff7.exe have one BEL that screw my star up

ECHO BEL Install the Laptop Keyboard Patch?
This is place where it actually make freeze judging by GC log

Try uninstalling FF7 and cleaning the registry keys. Use the method from the FAQ for when there are wrong encounters. I only suggest this because you're switching from a Steam copy to the original discs, so you always need to clean your registry keys when switching between versions.

If you want to delete the BEL and save the .bat to see if the beep is the problem, feel free to test yourself.

I still don't understand your install directory. Your APP.log shows that you're starting the game from E:\Games\FF7\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII which is a very odd install path. If that was intentional, then the Game Converter should recognize it though (so long as you've cleaned your registry keys properly).

I don't have any other suggestions to fix your freezes. Windows XP 64-bit could be the issue, but I don't know for sure. I've read a lot in the past about how difficult it is to run programs on Windows XP 64-bit.

I have some problems and don't found answer so I ask (maybe there is already answers somewhere, forgive me).

I have some graphicals errors, which don't crash the game or make unable to play : many map show me and error message like "GLITCH : missed palette write to external texture field/repname/filename "
But now I arrive at the end of the first CD in the story, there is also similar error message for video avi file don't found. But all of them in the begin of the game works fine ?
I have also notice some aerith new weapon have no texture (so I have disable this).

What must I do ?

I play with the original PC CD version (installed in french but all game played in english), in win xp, nvidia card.

I know it says on the FAQ that the Download Error may be caused by GOOGLE DRIVE or MEGA exceeding its download quota..

BUT.. I've been waiting & checking everyday for 5 days now & im i still getting the

Download Error - Error Downloading World Textrures SystemComponentModeLasyNoCompletedEventArgs

Do i still have to wait to download it?? I keep getting this error when I download both World Textures & World Models - Characters, Enemies and Vehicles.. I cchecked 3-4x a day for 5 days now..

Is there a way to download those 2 mod category manually?? Im only missing that 2..

Uninstalled 7th Heaven.

Installed Bootleg (works perfectly).
Added NT 1.3 (Battle.lgp and Character.lgp from Bootleg)
Added Reunion 60 FPS Battle.
Few hours against two weeks of pain and over 140 GB downloads.

Now on steam I have Menu Overhaul.
Spell Texture Works (Upscaled Magic)
Battle texture works.
Battle Models works.
Learned How lgp. tools works

Now I am SANE again.
Only Thing To do Is to Import all Mods from 7th heaven. An I finally understand how 7th heaven actually work
My problem Is FF7.exe from openGL 0.8.1 can't start it normally. Posted to much for that.
So with bad start (FF7 window won't open) most of the aliG drivers> Textures are not load in memory. lgp. s are loaded normally. Can't find workaround .
So game is mess.

So I did a fresh install of everything, cleaned all of my registries and 7th heaven data, still having the same problem.

Are there really no options for installing these .iro files manually?

There are no manual downloads at this time. I am going to wait until 2.0 to provide you with manual downloads because the file format is changing in 2.0 and everyone will have to uninstall 1.x mods and redownload all 2.0 again. Hopefully you will have no issues then.

FOR EVERYONE WHO ASKED FOR HELP THIS WEEK

I am not going to do anymore troubleshooting until v2.0 of the Catalog is released. I most definitely want to help resolve your issues, but it would be redundant to do so now since so many changes are being made in the next update. Please be patient with me, the update is almost here  :)

No, sorry...there is no way to judge how long it will take. Keep in mind, a good chunk of the work comes in making the .xml files and producing the preview images, so most of the work is just busy work.

I will update the To Do List today with what is complete so far.
